One of my earliest plein air works, was painted in oil on canvas at Iona Beach.

The piece captures the subtle warmth of light breaking through the clouds, balanced by the full range of greens—from the soft tones of the shoreline grass to the deeper shadows of the distant trees.

With a lighter approach to brushstrokes, I worked to convey the delicate contrasts in this fleeting moment along the changing shoreline.
