In this plein air, I explored the rhythm of movement between the open field, dark tree line, and expansive sky. The composition invites the eye to loop naturally, echoing the landscape’s circular flow. Placing the horizon near the center defies convention, creating a subtle tension between balance and movement. Gestural brushwork captures the shifting atmosphere and interplay of textures.
