In this Rock Study, I focused on capturing the subtle interplay of greys within the boulders, contrasted with the gentle creek flowing through them. The warm imprimatura subtly emerges beneath the surface, adding depth. The dry grass is only implied with a super light, barely-there paint scrub applied using a worn, stiff brush, while directional brushstrokes emphasize the form and texture of the rocks.
