Unlike the bold contrasts in Qualicum II, this plein air piece captures a serene, tonal softness. The horizon dissolves into delicate layers of blues, purples, and muted greys, punctuated by subtle warmth. The mountains gently blend with the sky, creating a quiet harmony between land, sea, and atmosphere. This study was an exercise in restraint, focusing on the interplay of muted hues and the fleeting calm of the coastal scene.
