This study captures the interplay of light and atmosphere over Pitt Meadows, traditional territory of the Katzie First Nation, known as the “land of the moss”. The area’s rich wetlands and rivers have sustained the Katzie people for millennia. In this piece, I experimented with color palettes to reflect the serene landscape, laying the groundwork for my larger painting, “Atmospheric Weave.”
