In Red Study, I focused on exploring the relationship between the vibrant red apples and the rich tones of the red cloth in the background.

The challenge was capturing the subtle shifts in value and texture, from the smooth surface of the apples to the soft folds of the fabric. By working within this singular color palette, I was able to study how light and shadow play across similar hues, creating depth and contrast while maintaining harmony. This exercise pushed me to see the dynamic potential of red—a color often associated with intensity but here offering quiet layers of complexity.
